History of Putri Carita Waterfall and the Legend that Accompanies it
Putri Carita Waterfall has an interesting story that accompanies it. According to the story circulating among the local community, the name “Curug Putri” comes from a legend involving a princess from heaven.
In ancient times, this waterfall was believed to be the bathing place of Nyai Putri Rincik Manik and Ki Roncang Omas, as well as the princesses from heaven.
This belief is very strong, and in the story, every time a rainbow appears above Mount Pulosari, it indicates that the princess from heaven is bathing in the waterfall.
